Questions
Did you watch the Priesthood session Sunday morning because of the time difference?
We watched priesthood session saturday night at 9 our time. It was great. We had to go to a different chapel in the other stake to watch it. Pres Prieto is awesome. 10 elders (including me) piled into his car (the size of a honda pilot haha) and we went together.
How was your conference experience? Were you able to understand it all? Where did you listen to it?
Conference was great. Pres asked that we watch all sessions, with or without investigators. I was able to watch all in english haha. I know that i could have understood in portuguese, but i love hearing the actaully voice and emotion of the speakers.
How is the teaching going with Pedro?
It's good. He is super busy which is hard. and he didn't come to conference which was a bummer, but we will continue teaching him.
Hahah Tysons comments were super funny. But yup he got burnd this conference. That boy has to get married HAHA.
Did you guys watch at home? I thought of that part in the movie Singles Ward as they get the new big TV, "GENERAL CONFERENCE" haha
But it was a great weekend to be able to feel the spirit and listen to the words of the living prophets. I was so pumped to watch, the most excited ever. I payed attention and it passed by quicker than i wanted it too.
I liked Elder Scotts talk about his marriage and family. I liked Pres Eyring in Priesthood about Quorums. I laughed a ton. Pres Monson in priesthood was funny and powerful about worthily using our priesthood. I liked Elder Oaks about desire and Elder Ballards about small and simple acts of service (flecks of gold). It was interesting that he said that missionary work will not be effective and the church will not grow until the members start to work with the missionaries. Make friendships outside of the church and INVITE!
The rest of the week was good. We did a division and it was good to work with an elder with a little bit more energy ahah. But i love my companion. I need to be more patient with him. I'm going to encourage him. It's hard when i feel like i can do more, but maybe his best is different.
I can't wait for the ensign in english too. I love you all so much. Thanks for the letters. Let me know before you send the package in case i need something else.
